A different kind of decluttering support
Getting rid of things is only part of decluttering.
You also have to begin. Stay focused. Make hundreds of decisions. Manage emotions and memories. Decide where things belong. And return to the work after your energy or attention has wandered elsewhere.
For people with ADHD and AuDHD, conventional decluttering advice can add demands to a process that is already difficult.
I take a different approach.
Rather than simply clearing a space for you, I teach you a practical decluttering process designed to reduce overwhelm, support decision-making, and work with the way your brain functions.
The goal is not for you to need me forever.
Decluttering support should help you become more capable—not more dependent. As the process becomes more familiar, you take greater ownership of the work and our sessions become shorter.
Learn
Understand the process, identify what gets in your way, and begin with close guidance.
Practice
Use the process in your own home with support, troubleshooting, and encouragement.
Maintain
Keep moving with brief check-ins for activation, accountability, and course correction.
Work with me in the way that fits your needs
Virtual decluttering
Learn and practice the decluttering process in your own home, one manageable session at a time.
Virtual sessions provide guidance, accountability, and real-time decision support while you remain fully responsible for the physical work. As your confidence grows, sessions progress from 45 minutes to 30 minutes and eventually to focused 15-minute check-ins.
In-person decluttering
Available locally in the South Sound area, WA only.
In-person sessions combine instruction, decision support, and hands-on help. After a free consultation, I will recommend a starting number of 60- or 90-minute sessions based on your space, energy, and goals. You can schedule one session at a time and transition to shorter virtual support when hands-on visits are no longer necessary.
Your home should support the people who live there.
I’m Sarah Milne—an ADHD coach, educator, historian, home designer, lifelong builder, and person with ADHD.
For years, The Created Home focused on physically creating and improving homes. My work now brings those years of practical experience together with something I have come to believe matters even more: understanding how our surroundings affect the people who live within them.
I help people create homes that place fewer demands on executive function, reduce unnecessary friction, and support everyday well-being.
Decluttering is one important part of that work. But the greater purpose is not a perfectly organized home. It is a home that works better for you.
Ready to begin?
You do not need to know where to start. You do not need to have figured out how to make decluttering work for you. And you do not need to commit to an enormous whole-home project.
The first step is a free 20-minute consultation. We’ll talk about what feels difficult, what you hope to change, and how we can work together to help you begin.
